If you haven’t already taken a leisurely drive out to nearby Olalla to visit the Olalla Winery, you’re missing out.  But here’s your chance to make up for it.

I’ve had the privilege of attending a few of their Friday-night music events, and they are fantastic. Both my wife and I enjoy the wine, the food, and the ambience … and it’s especially a treat to take friends along, as they’re always surprised by this hidden Gig Harbor-area gem.

On Saturday, May 25th, 2019, from 1 – 5 pm, owners Mary Ellen and Stuart are opening their beautiful estate winery venue to the public to celebrate their season opener, with $5 tastings.

Guest entertainment at the event will be “Eric and the Steves,” a trio known for vintage rock, bluegrass, and blues music. Appetizers will be provided local Lora’s Le Garmache Catering.

Watch for other special events at the Ollalla Winery throughout the summer, such as music events and exclusive “Dinners in the Vineyard.” If you’re lucky enough to get in on one of these, you’ll enjoy local guest chefs preparing a four-course dinner with special tour of the vineyard. There will only be four dinners during the 2019 summer season (July 6 and 27, Aug. 31, and Sept. 7). You can reserve your spot by calling(253-851-4949).

PARKING at the event: Space is limited and parking will be $20 per car. Consider carpooling with friends! It’s a 15-minute drive to Olalla Winery from Gig Harbor. RSVP and get your parking pass here: https://www.olallawines.com/events-1/season-opener
